Product Description

With rapid consumption of the limited resources of petroleum and coal, the renewable energy becomes a new focus in the energy development. Solar energy is one of the energy resources which have the potential for large-scale development.

The commercialized solar cell technologies include Silicon cell, Amorphous-Silicon cell, and CdTe thin-film solar cell. In addition, the CIGS thin-film solar cell is also gradually commercialized. The average conversion efficiency of the mass-produced single crystalline silicon solar cell has reached 16.5%, while the conversion efficiency of the polysilicon solar cell is about 14.5% to 15.8%.
In the road map of solar cell development, the thin-film cells will become a new focus because of its low cost. Its conversion efficiency will be increased by improving current technologies. In the future, it will play a significant role in the solar energy market.
